Mural Update

Susan helped Mari out for a few minutes today, trying to get the second coat done so she is ready to outline when the black paint markers arrive.
Not to be outdone, I am working on a simpler mural on the rest of the basement walls.

Projects

Mari participated in a cupcake challenge, attempting to make a cupcake that looks like everyone in the family.
Each kid with their cupcake.
We have been looking for a new dresser for the girls’ room. Our neighbors were getting rid of this purple one, so Susan snagged it and fixed it up.
The older kids bundled the sticks and branches that we trimmed off our back hedge, just in time for the free pickup.

The Enneagram

I think this is pretty cool. The kids all took a simple Enneagram test today and when Susan and I took the test our highest areas came back opposite. I am not surprised and it is one of the reasons I think we work so well together.

Mari’s Mural

During the break we decided to paint the basement. Mari decided to take it one step further and is paint a mural on one wall. She drew up some drafts and a friend let us borrow a projector. Mari copied her ideas onto a clear sheet and she is off!
