The Enneagram

I think this is pretty cool. The kids all took a simple Enneagram test today and when Susan and I took the test our highest areas came back opposite. I am not surprised and it is one of the reasons I think we work so well together.

Mari’s Mural

During the break we decided to paint the basement. Mari decided to take it one step further and is paint a mural on one wall. She drew up some drafts and a friend let us borrow a projector. Mari copied her ideas onto a clear sheet and she is off!

Daily Walks

So, it looks like we will be taking a walk every day. The sequence of events today really reminded us of life on the RV trip. We worked and did practical things all day and then in the evening we took a walk, before a late dinner. I have a feeling we have many more days like this to come.

Oreo

We got a cat! Lucia named it Oreo and we thought that works well because he is very black and white. He is taking some time to adjust to our house and all of the new experiences, but he is doing great. So far it is a lot easier than getting a puppy.

More Snow

More snow today, and the kids made this awesome snow fort. They eventually took the Christmas lights off of the tree and fed them into the fort.

Saturday Happenings

This afternoon we paid a visit to Greenwood Park, where the kids used to come every Monday during homeschooling. The pond was awesomely frozen and we enjoyed the lower access. Elliot also saw a big mammal swimming under the ice.
In the evening we went to the mall to hang out and walk around for a bit. Rose wanted to visit Santa, so we did just that.
