Today we tried to take Elliot to school, again. But we still had to get his vaccine issue worked out. We ended up spending most of the school day hunting down the show he needed and by the time the day was over, he was all set for tomorrow!
Today was the first day of school for the 3 older kids – sort of. We had a vaccine snafu with Elliot and he was not able to go.
Mari made this locker caddy and pandunicorn this year in school. Mari had a good year in school this year, doing well in the academic and non-academic classes.
Mari played an Oompa Loompa in her school’s spring play, Charlie and the Chocolate factory. She has been working hard for the past few weeks and did great this weekend.
This afternoon we attended the Success Assembly at Elliot’s school, to celebrate student successes in the second trimester. Elliot won the CRP award, basically for being a good and doing a good job.
Andrew had his 2nd orchestra concert of the year tonight. We didn’t have a great view of him, but we got this picture afterward and recorded Bohemian Rhapsody.
This evening Andrew had his second orchestra concert of the year. They played four songs written by Tchaikovsky.
Mari is an awesome tuba player! Here is her first band concert from 2018, well, one song. The tubas actually get to play the melody for part of the song, which is cool
Two notes:
For the past month or so Mari has been staying after school to work on a mime show. She worked with a group of kids on a few different mimes.
Now that the kids are back in school they are all back to their instruments: Andrew is playing the Cello, Mari the Tuba, and Elliot the Saxophone. It is fun to hear them practicing again and they are all doing well.
Tonight we had our first concert of the school year, for Andrew’s orchestra.
