Today we celebrated May Faire with the Bean Sprout school. It was a busy day to end a busy weekend, but it is always a great time. This was our first time hosting it at the new house and it was lovely in the new backyard.

Easter came up fast this year with the move, but we were ready! The kids woke up, found their Easter baskets in the house, and then headed out back to find the eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny. They had a blast!
We completed the Easter Triduum last night, attending Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil Mass, so for Easter Mass we went to church at the Unitarian Universalist church, with the Reagens. After church they came over to our house for some food and revelry.
Last night we hit the Reagens’ for our annual New Year’s Eve celebration. As usual we were joined by the O’Hallorans and a lot of food. The kids convinced us to let them stay up until midnight.
Hope had gone to bed at around 11:30. Just as everyone else was getting into bed Hope threw-up all over her bed and everything was thrown into disarray. At that point we decided to call it a year, and headed home.
Yesterday we celebrated Christmas with the Liess clan. It was fun, as always.
As part of the gift exchange we are all obligated to write a song/poem/something about the person whose name we picked. Erin and Nate picked both me and Susan and put together a great song:
We had a great Christmas yesterday. The kids were up at around 7 to open presents. Then we had our traditional chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. After lunch we headed to Perkins Elementary for some sledding. We stayed there until it was time to go to the Reagens’ for Nate’s birthday. Fun day!
Last night we attended the Ameriprise christmas party, hosted by our advisor, Steven Klaus. The party was a blast and we all had a good time. There was good food, a live band playing Christmas carols, pictures with Santa, face painters, a balloon animal maker, and a great storyteller. It was great to be able to just relax and have fun for a couple of hours.
Also, when we got home our new camera was waiting for us on the porch. Hopefully we will have better pictures to offer from now on.
We looked through our Valentine’s things. We got two hearts and I got a cat thing from school. I got some little things that make animals that swim in water, candy, and some books.
For dinner, we went to a restaurant, and I ate noodles.
