Lucia has really been enjoying her balance bike lately and Rose is crawling all over the place!
Sick Day
We have been sick for a long time. Andrew started being sick 2 Wednesdays ago, 4/18. Rose, Lucia, Elliot, Mari, Andrew, Susan, and finally me. We have ventured out periodically, but we have spent a lot of time at home, mostly lying on the couch.
Not-So-Dandelions
The dandelions were starting to take over our yard, so we took some action. The kids, mostly, worked hard for a couple of days to pick over around 1,000 dandelions from our front yard. When the work was done we celebrated with a trip to Culver’s.
Creek Walking
Susan, Lucia, and Rose have been enjoying the nice weather by getting out for some off-the-trail walks. Lucia loves exploring, playing in the water, and climbing over the pipes that help direct the flow of the ‘little creek.’

Getting Lu to Sleep
For the past few nights Lu has had a hard time getting to sleep. Last night I decided to record the whole thing.

It was a beautiful day today and we got to spend plenty of time outside. Mari and Andrew were servers this morning in church and then we spent the afternoon and evening enjoying the outdoors. Rose was in the swing for about an hour, Lucia worked on her hula hooping skills, and Mari accidentally learned a new trick where she flips upside down in a swing.

Phrases We Don’t Use At Our House
The other night at dinner I was reviewing the list of words and phrases we don’t use in our house. Our kids are home a lot and there are certain things I just don’t want them to get in the habit of saying. Here they are in no particular order:

- Oh my god.
- Oh my gosh.
- Seriously
- Whatever
O Christmas Tree
We took our Christmas tree down a couple of days ago and I laid it outside beside the house. The kids were out playing today and decided to put it up again, complete with lights.
