Delicate Arch Hike

This morning we did the Delicate Arch hike. It was rather grueling because of the heat and Lucia was not up for walking very far. Once we got there, it was awesome. Also, I was nervous the whole time because all around the arch there are drop-offs and steep slopes.

Grocery Deficit

Our recent trips to small towns combined with our travel schedule have made it hard to make a big grocery run. I had chips & salsa for breakfast this morning and I think I just had pickles for lunch. I better go find something more substantial.

Tropic (Bryce Canyon) -> Moab (Arches)

The drive from Tropic to Moab took us about 5 hours. It was a beautiful drive with many scenic pull-offs along the way. We stopped once.

Mountain Time

We thought we would try to stay on Central Time as we travel west. It is a good time zone and it worked well for my work. Well, it didn’t work. I think because of the daylight we were just staying up too late. Yesterday we decided to go ahead and make the switch to Mountain Time. It doesn’t actually matter, except I feel like I have to get up earlier for work.

Mossy Cave Trail

Yesterday evening we braved the Mossy Cave trail, just up the street from our campsite. I say ‘braved’ because we almost didn’t go because of the weather. Despite cloudy skies, it was a beautiful, cool evening and we had the trail nearly all to ourselves, which was nice.
